Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CargoTrackHub (“CargoTrackHub”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use cargotrackinghub.com (the “Service”). CargoTrackHub is a carrier tracking directory: you paste a shipping number, we identify the carrier, and we send you to that carrier’s official tracking page. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the Service.

Information we collect

Numbers you enter. When you type a container, bill-of-lading, or air-waybill number, we process it only to detect the carrier and build a link to that carrier’s tracking page. We do not require an account and we do not save your tracking numbers to a database. A number may appear briefly in routine server logs (see below) before those logs rotate.

Log & usage data. Like most websites, our servers automatically record technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you view, and timestamps. Each request is tagged with a short-lived request ID. We use this data to operate and secure the Service, apply rate limits, prevent abuse, and understand general usage.

Cookies and similar technologies. We and our providers may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, and (where enabled) advertising, as described below.

Analytics

We may use privacy-conscious analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic and improve the Service. These tools may set cookies or use similar identifiers to measure visits and interactions. The information is used in aggregate and is not used to personally identify you.

Advertising

We may display ads served by third-party vendors, including Google, to keep the Service free.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with service providers who help us operate the Service — for example our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare), analytics providers, and advertising partners (Google) — and where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Third-party carrier sites

When you follow a tracking link, you leave CargoTrackHub and arrive on a carrier’s own website. Those sites have their own privacy policies and terms, which we do not control and are not responsible for. Please review their policies for how they handle your data.

Data retention

Server logs are retained only for a short period for security and debugging, then rotated and deleted. We do not maintain a long-term store of the tracking numbers you enter.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, or the Australian Privacy Principles), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at [email protected].

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

International users

We operate the Service from and may process data in countries that may differ from where you live. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed in those locations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
